Savate French Kickboxing has been described as fencing with the hands and feet. It’s movements of kicking and boxing are a very effective method of Self Defense.
Savate is the French word for “old shoe: or “boot”. Savate practitioners wear specially designed shoes that are hardened around the toe. This is a unique aspect of any Martial Arts, and part of what makes Savate so effective.
Training in the art of Savate promotes a high level of cardiovascular endurance, coordination and fluidity, and will strengthen the mind-body connection. It will also significantly improve your balance, coordination, and flexibility.
